Room 206

Room 206, Hotel Polissya. Pripyat ghost town near the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in northern Ukraine.
Inspired by a photo by Nadav Kander.
Modeling, shading, lighting and rendering done in Maya. Cloth sim (carpet) and tree done in XSI. Fractures done in 3DS Max/Rayfire. Textures and a bit of post in Photoshop.

3DCreative / CGArena

There’s a long tutorial I wrote, covering modeling, UVs and texturing of a Celeritas spaceship (based on a concept art done by karakterconcept.com guys) in 3D Creative magazine issues 64, 65, 66, and 67. Here’s a view of the last chapter covering some texturing techniques. You can find all the issues at 3dtotal.com. Also, my Hudson locomotive was featured in CG Arena magazine Volume 6, Issue 1 and 3D Creative issue 67.
